DHRUVKAUL
Hey everyone, I'm Dhruv, a software engineer from USC with experience across startups and fintech. I earned my Bachelor's in Computer Science in May 2026 and I'm finishing my Master's there in December 2026.
Most recently at Machina Sports, I built a full-stack AI platform for a leading global sportswear brand that measured sponsorship exposure across social content from 30+ athletes, matching apparel against a 6,000+ product catalog. I've also built data pipelines analyzing 1.2M+ customers and a World Cup platform that's reached 25,000+ visitors and 148,000+ page views.
Experience
I owned the end-to-end build of a full-stack AI sponsorship analytics platform for a leading global sports brand (under NDA), measuring how its products show up across athlete social content spanning 30+ athletes in 7 sports. Built with Python, GCP, Gemini Vision, and TypeScript, the computer vision pipeline matches exact products against a 6,000+ product catalog covering 40+ footwear and apparel lines, with an image segmentation stage driving 73% of correct identifications. I also engineered a corrective agentic AI layer over MCP that catches missed and inaccurate detections through image analysis, web search, and product verification, improving detection accuracy by 19%, and shipped the client-facing dashboard that presents the insights.
I built Java backend services that automated loan approval review, increasing application throughput and contributing to roughly 20% more approvals. I also developed Python pipelines on AWS that predict credit card application likelihood for 1.2M+ customers, enabling more targeted mailing campaigns.
I worked with researchers and historians on an AR app that surfaces 3.6M+ digitized cultural artifacts from national archives. I designed the computer vision model that reads image-embedded scale bars to estimate real-world artifact dimensions, improving true-to-size AR display accuracy by 53%.
I led a team of 5 building a GenAI-powered Q&A chatbot for an anime and manga Web3 platform backed by Japan's $1B "DigiDen" initiative, lifting user engagement by 35%.
Projects
Investment Research Copilot ↗
I'm relatively new to investing and wanted objective information on a company without digging through filings myself, so I built an agentic RAG copilot that pulls the financial details on demand. It runs 18 tools on a local MCP server with live SEC EDGAR data, does all its math in plain Python so the numbers are calculated instead of guessed, and traces every claim back to the filing passage it came from. I use it from Claude Code, a web chat, or Telegram. I'm working on connecting it to my Robinhood account so it can analyze my actual holdings, and on having it message me on Telegram when a stock I'm watching drops. It's an ongoing project, mainly to get familiar with how agentic AI is actually built.
StillInIt.app ↗
I noticed a gap before the 2026 World Cup. With 48 teams spread across three host countries, fans had no way to see where their team might play next depending on how they finished, so I built a platform combining live standings, bracket projections, and team path tracking to help fans plan travel before prices went up. It runs on a Kalshi and ESPN data pipeline feeding a Monte Carlo simulation engine for live win probabilities, and I've kept shipping fan-requested features since launch.
Addison ↗
A cross-platform ADHD productivity app with brain-dump, focus timer, and reflection flows. I led a team of 6 and built 10+ modular React Native screens, improving responsiveness ~40%.
Tokenized Attention in Sports ↗
Co-authored with Lorena Martin and Shounak Lahiry at USC, examining how fan token markets create and capture value through tokenized attention in professional sports, using token data from a major European soccer club (name withheld under NDA). Presented at the 4th Annual Business of Blockchain & Tokenization Conference, Miami Herbert Business School, May 2026.
TacticIQ ↗
A natural language search tool that lets coaches find tactical patterns and moments from match footage instantly, without manual tagging or scrubbing. Click through for a demo.
XNotes ↗
An automated LLM-powered fact-checker for tweets. Built on GPT with web search integration, parallelized checking, and link unfurling for comprehensive source verification.
Multi-Agent Safety ↗
Research exploring ethical dilemmas in cooperative AI through simulated soccer, examining how reward-driven agents compromise team performance.
